Alexandra Lynch, soprano
Alexandra Lynch first discovered her passion for the vocal arts when she performed Schubert’s Ave Maria as a precocious six year old girl. Since that performance, Alexandra has spent nine years developing her talent as a soprano focused on classical and musical theater works. Most of her vocal development has come under the seven year tutelage of her accomplished instructor, Claire Stadtmueller (www.bravasoprano.com). Some of Alexandra’s favorite works to perform have been composed by Schubert, Mozart, Handel and Bernstein amongst others.
Alexandra has been the recipient of numerous vocal awards and accolades. The Young Musicians Festival of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County awarded Alexandra five stars in each of the Classical and Musical Theater categories for three consecutive years culminating in the receipt of the Gold Cup for the consistency of achievement. Alexandra has also received Honorable Mention three years running in the national Vocal Artists Management Young Vocalists Competition. Alexandra was the youngest award recipient in her first two years in the competition. Most recently, Alexandra was selected to perform in the Sound Espressivo/Progressive Musicians Gala Concert in the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall.
In advance of the Carnegie Hall performance, Alexandra spent the summer of 2024 at the Vocal Choral Intensive Program at the Boston Conservatory’s Berklee College of Music as well as in Tuscany at Bel Canto’s Opera Program. Alexandra very much likes to spread joy and support the community through her vocal talent. Alexandra has recently performed six solo recitals comprised of fifteen classical and musical theater pieces at local assisted living facilities. She brings the performance and healing powers of music to those with challenges to otherwise attain the experience themselves. Alexandra’s love of the stage has also led to leading roles in productions of Annie and the Wizard of Oz as Annie and as Dorothy. Her work in numerous programs conducted by Broadway star Donna Vivino (@donnavivino) were instrumental in her thespian development.
In addition to her vocal talent, Alexandra is a tenth grader at Rye Country Day School where she is a straight A student, three sport varsity athlete and member of the Honors Choir.
