Amber "Deni" Harling, soprano

Amber "Deni" Harling, originally from Detroit, Michigan, began her musical journey at age five. Her talent and dedication led her to participate in notable opera productions such as Die Fledermaus as Rosalinde von Eisenstein, Amahl and the Night Visitors as The Mother, Orpheus in the Underworld as Eurydice, and more. In 2014, she earned her bachelor’s degrees in music education and mass communications, and a master’s degree in vocal performance in 2020 from the University of West Georgia. Deni serves as the youth chorus director at the Carrollton Center for the Arts (CCA) and a private voice instructor at Pippin Music Academy and CCA. Deni's artistic capabilities go beyond her vocal talents. In 2020, she made her theatre directorial debut at CCA with 101 Dalmatians Kids with the Carrollton Youth Theatre. Building on this success, she directed another production, The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle, in 2021 and was the music director for The Lightning Thief in 2023.

She is a member of the Carroll County Community Chorus and leads her group, Deni Phoenix and The Fervor. Her affiliations include Sigma Alpha Iota – International Music Fraternity for Women, Tau Beta Sigma – National Honorary Band Sorority, Inc., and Alpha Psi Omega – National Honorary Theatre Society.

Deni is engaged to be married to her fiancé, Daniel, the guitarist for Deni Phoenix and The Fervor.
