New Jersey native Dr. John Asmuth is an amateur player who picked up the classical guitar at twelve years old, taking private lessons for a time with Alice Artzt and recently with Phil Circle. He enjoys performing not only as a soloist and with Section 3 of NJGO, but also composing and transcribing music.John holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University, and currently works as a software engineer in Big Tech (TM).
