Matthew Brand was born in New York City in 2008. He is a student of Donna Weng Friedman at the Mannes School Of Music Prep Division, and is part of the Clara Mannes Scholars Program. He is in the 9th grade at Horace Mann School in the Bronx, and has been working on composition, jazz, and songwriting projects in the past few years. He studies composition with Dr. Steven Sacco at Mannes Prep, and is part of his school's Jazz Combo.
