Nora Muñoz

Since she was a child, she began studying Classical Ballet, Spanish Dance and Mexican Folklore, but it is Stylized Spanish Dance, Spanish Classical and Flamenco dance where she specializes and receives her training at the school of the Mexican master Oscar Tarriba, through the teachings of Ana María Sánchez.

She has taken classes, courses, workshops and seminars with internationally renowned Mexican and Spanish teachers.

She has participated as a guest artist in various Flamenco groups and shows; recitals and concerts of Classical Spanish Dance, as well as in the Opera Carmen at the “Apollo Art Performance” in California, USA.

She has been a teacher of Spanish Dance, introduction to the art of Flamenco and Castanet playing for government institutions and private ones, as well as directing her own Spanish Dance studio.

She was one of the four finalists (Second Prize) in the I “Teresa Laiz” International Castanet Competition (2023).

In 2023, she receives the Degree in the specialty of Concert Castanets from the Teresa Laiz International Castanet School, a school member of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO (Spain).

Currently, she is a member of the Castanet Choir of Madrid, directed by Teresa Laiz, in which she participates as a soloist.
