Omar Reyes is a Newark native and has been playing guitar since he the age of 12. He was introduced to classical guitar while studying with Jayson Martinez at Essex County College. After earning his Associates Degree in Music, Omar earned his BA from NJCU in Music Education. Omar currently teaches elementary and middle school music in his hometown for the Newark Public Schools, where he graciously gives back to his community. Omar serves as a section one member of our NJGO.
