Sophia Zhang is nine years old, originally born at Falls Church, Virginia, Sophia is a third grader at Clegern Elementary School. She currently lives with her mom, dad and brother in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Sophia has been learning Piano since was five. She is one of winners of Laureate Gala at Weill Carnegie Hall for Piano Solo performance by Progressive Musician Piano Competition September 2022, will perform in June 2023 in NYC. Recently, Sophia was one of winners of 2023 Oklahoma Music Teacher Association Piano Competition. She was rewarded the Second Place in Iscart International Music Competition (Lugano, Switzerland) in April 2021, a Second Place in Orbetello Piano Competition online edition 2021 International on May 2021.
Her Piano teacher is Mrs. Ruirui Johnson, an outstanding concert pianist and piano instructor at Oklahoma Conservatory of Music. Besides Piano, Sophia is a competitive swimmer (won the Second Place of Oklahoma Long Course 200 Free Style Relay in 10 and under age group July 2022), and She love singing and ballet too!
Sophia loves reading, her favorite book is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. She loves to play with her friends. She has a hamster, and she loves baby animals and specially dogs.
